Grotto Spring in Eureka Springs, AR
Eureka Springs is named for it's many springs that flow from the mountainsides surrounding the city. Of the original 62 springs that flowed freely here long ago, more than a dozen can still be found and have been restored. Of these, Grotto Spring is certainly one of the prettiest as the spring here flows out of an ivy covered mountainside cave. It's one of my favorite places in Eureka Springs! The stonework and landscaping surrounding the Spring is absolutely beautiful and has a very "Secret Garden" feel to it. It really is an enchanting place!
Grotto Springs is located on Spring Street along with Crescent Spring which is covered by a victorian gazebo with a nearby trail that connects it with the Historic Crescent Hotel. Also, Basin Spring, probably the most popular and easy accessible spring is located in downtown Eureka Springs near the Basin Spring Hotel in the center of Basin Spring Park. Wow, that's a lot of "springs" in one paragraph! :)
