Restaurant Spotlight: Undercliff Grill and Bar in Joplin, MO
We love discovering fun and unique restaurants and we hit the jackpot when we discovered the Undercliff Grill and Bar in Joplin, MO! The restaurant is literally built into the side of a cliff. Inside, they've left the cliffside rock exposed so it's truly a cave-like dining experience. The kids loved it!
The place has some history to it as well. In the 1920's, there was a town at this location called Tipton Ford. This cliffside spot was used as the town General Store named Under Cliff, which is where the present restaurant's name originates. See the full story HERE .
They've got a wonderful menu, and both the food and the service were exceptional! The decor was fun and the atmosphere was family friendly. We live about an hour from Joplin, but we would easily make the drive just to eat at this place.
