Kings River Float: Trigger Gap to McMullen Farm

Kings River Kayaking: Trigger Gap to McMullen Farm

My husband and spent a rare kid free day together kayaking the Kings River. We used the Kings River Outfitters in Eureka Springs for shuttle service and 1 kayak rental (we had one of our own). We put in at the Trigger Gap access point and floated the 4.7 miles to McMullen Farm. The water level was perfect-not too high, not too low. We had a great float!

Trigger Gap is a rocky beach spot along Kings River and it's a popular place to swim and fish. There is a $5 fee per vehicle for parking at the landing if you're just swimming, picnicing, or fishing so check in at the Kings River Outfitters if your just playing at the "beach" for the day.

This is an easygoing float for sure...perfect for beginners like us! There aren't any overly spectacular views along this float. You wont see any big bluffs, caves, or waterfalls, but the Kings River is just beautiful! We really loved this float and will probably repeat it again for it's ease and beauty.

Rope swings along the river--one of my favorite sights!

A day spent on the river is always a day well spent!

  1. Way cool! Good float and read! You are going to have to start a Kayak tab on your website!

Also, did you see the little swimming area right when you got in?
