Rutledge-Wilson Farm Community Park in Springfield, MO

Rutledge-Wilson Farm Community Park in Springfield, MO

In the early spring I took the boys to the Rutledge Wilson Farm Community Park in Springfield, Mo. What a neat place! This is a 200 acre working farm that is open to the community free of charge. As you stroll the grounds, your family can see a large variety of animals in the barn as well as in outdoor gated pens, view the demonstration gardens and crops, fish in the pond (bring your own equipment), walk (or bike) Wilson's Creek Trail, climb on vintage tractors and hay bales, visit the gift shop, and my kids' personal favorite was the park's huge barn themed playground!
The drive to the farm was about 2 hours for us, but it was definitely worth it. We packed a lunch and made a long day of it out on the farm!
