McKisic Creek Swimming Hole in Bella Vista, AR

Swimming hole in Northwest Arkansas

We found an amazing little swimming hole on McKisic Creek in Bella Vista, AR. There are several spots along McKisic that i've brought the boys to play at, but this has by far been our favorite discovery along this creek!
There's plenty of shallow spots for wading and crawdad catching, but some deeper spots for swimming and jumping off the rocks when the water level is up. The water here is ice cold, but the swimming spot gets plenty of midday sun, and there's lots of shade trees as well. It's an all around perfect swimming hole!

See directions to this spot at the bottom!

Directions: Heading north on 71, when you come into Bella Vista, take a right at the light on W. McNelly Rd. Then take your immediate right on NW Wishing Springs Rd. Go down this road and pass all the small businesses on your left until the road narrows and curves to the left. Keep going just a little ways until you come to a small parking lot on your right. You'll see a large Bentonville Trails Map Sign in the grass near the doggy bag station. If you stand directly in front of this sign, the small clearing and short trail at the entrance of the swimming hole is behind it. You'll have to walk through the grass a little ways to the woodline. So you could say the swimming hole entrance is a bit to the right from the parking lot.

There's a few other spots along McKisic Creek that you should check out, including another popular swimming hole!

**Please help keep special places like this open for us and future generations of outdoor lovers to enjoy. When people don't behave respectfully, places like these inevitably get shut down and closed to access. Act safely and adopt and adhere to a "leave no trace" policy and always pick up your trash. Even better, try to bring an extra trashbag wherever you go so that you can pick up trash previously left behind if you find it. We can all do our part to make sure these places stay beautiful and open to all!
