Shaddox Hollow Trail in Rogers, AR
Shaddox Hollow Trail is located in Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area in Rogers, AR. We hiked this trail with my 5 year old son, and my husband backpacked my 2 year old. Though it's not one of the more scenic trails we've done, Shaddox Hollow Trail has a little bit of everything...lake views, bluffs, creek, river, wildflowers and wildlife, and a few steeper grade climbs to keep it interesting but not too difficult.
It took about an hour and a half round-trip, including a snack break and a few rest stops for the little ones. This is a great family friendly trail if you just want a shorter hike and maybe combine this with some other fun things around the Hobbs State Park area, such as War Eagle Mill.
(Directions and more info at the bottom of the post)
My favorite part of the trail was finding so many different kinds of fungi!
The biggest mushroom i'd ever seen!
We found lots of vacant snail shells. Some of the largest i'd ever seen!
